A striking pair of 1970s Cityscape benches by Paul Evans, distinguished by their architectural brass-clad frames and generously upholstered seats.
Each bench is constructed with a bold rectilinear framework completely enveloped in warm-toned brass panels, creating the geometric, reflective character associated with Evans' celebrated Cityscape collection. The substantial squared arms extend vertically from the base and frame the upholstered seat with a strong architectural presence.
The benches are fitted with thick rectangular cushions upholstered in a textured rose and coral-toned woven fabric, providing a soft contrast to the polished metallic structure. Low block feet continue the disciplined geometry of the frames while giving each bench a grounded, sculptural appearance.
