Elegant and substantial pair of two-tier side tables by Charles Hollis Jones, produced in the United States circa the 1970s. The tables exemplify Jones’s celebrated approach to transparent furniture, combining architectural Lucite construction with polished brass and glass to create a sophisticated, visually weightless form.
Each square table is constructed with thick, crystal-clear acrylic uprights and rails, terminating in gracefully rounded corners wrapped in polished brass fittings. Two clear glass surfaces are incorporated into each table—the upper top and lower shelf—sitting on their respective levels for a particularly clean and precise profile.
