A refined pair of 1970s Metric side tables attributed to Charles Hollis Jones, combining substantial clear Lucite construction with polished chrome accents and glass shelving.

Each table is designed with a clean architectural framework of thick transparent Lucite supports, joined at the corners by contrasting chrome-plated metal fittings. The geometric construction gives the tables a light, almost floating appearance while retaining the strong rectilinear vocabulary associated with Jones' celebrated furniture designs.

Inset glass surfaces at the upper and lower levels provide practical display and storage space without interrupting the transparency of the overall design. The combination of Lucite, glass, and polished chrome creates a sophisticated interplay of reflective and transparent materials.

Charles Hollis Jones became particularly recognized for his innovative use of acrylic and Lucite during the latter half of the 20th century, producing furniture that combined glamorous Hollywood Regency influences with increasingly streamlined modernist forms.
