A charming pair of 19th century Sevres porcelain pedestal compotes, finely decorated with hand-painted portrait medallions and vibrant pink grounds.
Each compote features a central portrait within an ornate cartouche, surrounded by delicate floral reserves and elaborate gilt scrollwork. One depicts Madame de Grignan, while the other portrays Marshal Maurice de Saxe, both rendered with finely detailed enamel painting typical of Sevres portrait decoration.
The bowls are finished with rich rose-pink borders, accented by fine gilt ornamentation and floral panels, reflecting the elegance of Louis XV–style decorative porcelain revived during the 19th century. The compotes rest on short pedestal bases, also finished in pink with gilt banding.
The undersides bear blue underglaze Sevres-style marks, consistent with decorative Sevres porcelain produced in the 19th century.
