The architectural triform base is carved in the Italian Baroque Revival taste, with deeply modeled C-scrolls, rocaille ornament, acanthus leaves, pendant floral drops, and three boldly scrolled feet. Curved recessed panels and layered moldings emphasize its sculptural form, while the warm walnut-toned surface and time-softened parcel-gilt highlights provide rich contrast to the brilliant green stone.
