A grand and highly decorative French mantel clock featuring cobalt blue Sèvres porcelain panels mounted in an elaborate gilt bronze (ormolu) case. The elegant urn-form body is richly adorned with finely executed gilded decoration, including scrolling arabesques, ribbon motifs, and classical detailing, reflecting the refined luxury of 19th-century French decorative arts.
The porcelain exhibits a deep, vibrant cobalt ground with intricate gilt ornamentation, beautifully contrasted by the warm tones of the bronze mounts. The composition is crowned by a lidded finial and flanked by scrolled handles, all raised on a sculptural base with acanthus and rocaille elements, giving the piece a strong architectural presence.
