Exceptional J.A. Henckels Bicentennial cased knife set, issued in 1976 as a limited edition commemorating three historic milestones: America’s Bicentennial, the 250th anniversary of J.A. Henckels, and the 600th anniversary of Solingen as the “Cutlery Capital of the World.”
This comprehensive set features finely crafted knives with etched blades depicting scenes of the American frontier, designed by Samuel Shortes of Aurum Engraving. Each blade is individually marked with edition number “0202” and dated 1975, underscoring its collectible nature.
Housed in its original fitted presentation case with rich red interior, the set includes two chef’s knives (10" and 8"), a 12" hollow slicing knife, 9" carving knife, 6" slicing knife, 5.5" boning knife, 4" paring knife, sharpening steel, carving fork, and a hunting knife with leather sheath. The interior retains its commemorative plaque and original certificate.
