An elegant French marble and spelter clock garniture dating to the late 19th century, featuring a finely cast figural composition surmounting a richly veined marble case. The central clock is adorned with two classical female figures in a graceful pose, interacting with doves above the dial—symbolizing peace and harmony.
The case is executed in beautifully variegated marble in warm tones of coral, cream, and ochre, contrasted with gilt bronze-tone spelter mounts. The form reflects the refined decorative sensibilities of the late 19th century, bridging neoclassical influence with early modern styling.
The movement is stamped Japy Frères Médaille d’Honneur and numbered 52225, indicating a high-quality French maker known for award-winning clockworks during the period. The dial is unsigned and set within a circular bezel.
Accompanying the clock are a pair of matching garniture stands, each topped with marble platforms and supported by decorative metal bases, completing the set with symmetry and balance.
