A striking French rock crystal chandelier from the 1950s, executed in hand-worked iron with a luminous silver leaf finish and adorned with substantial natural rock crystal pendants and drops.
The sculptural frame rises gracefully from a central baluster stem into a series of scrolling arms, each supporting candle-form lights and delicately suspended crystal elements. The chandelier is richly decorated with large rock crystal drops, interspersed with smaller crystal accents that create exceptional light refraction.
The organically shaped crystals—each unique in form—provide a beautiful contrast to the refined metalwork and contribute to the chandelier’s distinctive character. When illuminated, the crystals catch and scatter light, producing a shimmering effect reminiscent of classical French palace lighting.
