The impressive rectangular mirror is surrounded by an elaborate architectural frame composed of multiple decorative borders. The rich reddish-amber tortoiseshell-patterned panels create a dramatic contrast against the dark wood moldings and extensive gilded metalwork.
The frame is lavishly embellished with high-relief repoussé brass ornamentation, including scrolling acanthus leaves, floral rosettes, stylized shells, intertwining foliage, and intricately modeled decorative motifs.
