An exquisite 19th-century French Louis XVI Revival oval wall mirror, featuring an elaborately ornamented giltwood frame, antique decorative glass panels, and a magnificent sculptural cherub crest.
The elegant oval composition is distinguished by its richly detailed gilded framework, displaying an exceptional variety of classical decorative motifs, including floral garlands, scrolling acanthus leaves, finely modeled rosettes, shell ornamentation, and delicate beaded borders.
At the center, a large oval beveled mirror plate is surrounded by an extraordinary secondary border of decorative antique glass. The glass panels feature a delicate beaded or pearl-like pattern, creating a beautiful interplay of transparency, texture, and reflection.
