A handsome set of six Italian Modern dining chairs, dating to the mid-20th century, featuring sculptural dark wood frames and upholstered seats.
Each chair is designed with a distinctive curved silhouette, including gently arched arms, a broad shaped crest rail, and clean rectilinear supports. The dark-stained wood gives the set a sophisticated architectural presence, while the upholstered seat cushions soften the design and add comfort.
The backs are especially elegant, with an open construction beneath the curved upper panel that gives the chairs a light, graphic quality. The combination of sculptural woodwork, restrained geometry, and tailored upholstery reflects the refined language of Italian modern furniture from the postwar period.
The seats are upholstered in a neutral patterned textile with abstract brown and beige motifs, providing a subtle decorative contrast to the dark wood frames.
