An impressive and richly carved English Neoclassical giltwood console table, the rectangular marble top resting above a deeply carved frieze centered by a satyr mask surrounded by floral swags and guilloche molding. The table is raised on four incurving cabriole legs adorned with ram’s heads, united by an ornamental stretcher featuring a central merman figure. The entire composition is highlighted with water gilding over finely detailed carving, demonstrating superb craftsmanship and monumental scale.
